The Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation (HBCF) announced on Tuesday that applications are open for the third round of grants that will provide $90.000 for Australian charities.
The first round, The Our Shout Workplace Giving Grant is worth $25,000. The focus of this grant is to support the economic and social wellbeing of people in regional, rural and remote communities including in times of natural disasters.
The second, Growing Stronger Communities Grants, consists of four $15,000 grants to support charities that have existing programs/services in the following areas: positive educational and alternative pathways to help at-risk children and teenagers; health care services for vulnerable Australians and their families; and support for the economic and social wellbeing of people in regional, rural and remote communities, including in times of natural disasters.
The Foundation will also offer 50 donations of $1000 as part of its Community Champion Donations to causes that Heritage Bank employees actively fundraise for.
“We are extremely excited about our third grant round. The reality is we are still a very young Foundation and each year the grant process has introduced us to an amazing collection of new charities all doing remarkable things to support the community,” the HBCF Executive Officer Paul Olds, said.
“The great thing is we are continually growing, thanks to the general support from Heritage staff, members at the Heritage Bank who committed a further $500,000 to the Foundation this financial year. This means into the future the Foundation will be able to give a helping hand to more and more people.”
The grant round closes at 5pm on Friday, 30 September.
