It is time for Greek-Australian youth to put their dancing shoes back on for the return of the NUGAS Gala Ball, on Sunday, 11 September at Crown Palladium in Melbourne.
Whether you’re keen to show off your Zeimbekika or Tsiftitelia, or just trying to connect with other Greek-Australians your age, the biggest night on the university Greek social calendar is on.
After cancellations due to government lockdowns and restrictions, the National Union of Greek Australian Students committee is hosting its youth for the first time since 2019.
“Our 2022/23 committee has big plans and a lot of fresh ideas for the event so we’re excited to show our members a NUGAS Ball like no other,” NUGAS social and cultural officer Apollonas Karakaidos told Neos Kosmos.
“Being unable to host our annual Gala for the last few years, we’ve got a lot of youth that are yet to experience what NUGAS has to offer. We still plan to maintain the best elements of all our past NUGAS Balls but we definitely have a few surprises in store so there’s plenty for our guests to be excited about. We’re also stepping up the luxury this year at one of Melbourne’s most prestigious and known locations – Crown Palladium.”
The night will commence in style with champagne, cocktails and canapés on arrival followed by a two-course meal prepared by Crown’s renowned chefs accompanied by beer, wine, champagne and soft drink all night.
The night will continue with live Greek entertainment throughout the night, while after the Ball there will be an exclusive after party for all guests.
NUGAS, being the largest Greek-Australian youth organisation nationwide, welcomes students and friends from all backgrounds, institutions and universities to attend.
“We are confident that everyone will have a great time should they come regardless of their background,” Karakaidos added.
