The Greek Community of Melbourne is organising a special poets’ get together when poet and painter Peter Nomikos talks to fellow poet Dr Tina Giannoukos at the Greek Centre on Sunday, 25 September.
The participants will talk in Greek with summary reports of the event in English.
Mr Nomikos will talk about his long devotion to poetry and art and their complex relationship in his work. A writer, poet, critic and teacher, Dr Giannoukos will moderate the discussion.
Mr Nomikos has received numerous for his poetry and painting. He has published 10 collections of poetry.
Dr Giannoukos has published two collections of poetry, the most recent entitled: Bull Days. She has a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Melbourne.
The event will take place at 3pm on 25 September at Delphi Bank Mezzanine at the Greek Centre on Lonsdale Street.
