Alphington Grammar School has once again been able to celebrate the achievements of their students at their VCE Awards Night holding the first physical ceremony since the pandemic.

The event took place at The Edge in Federation Square, with the school community gathering to enjoy an evening of music, reflection, and acknowledgement for the high-achieving students, leaders, and the Class of 2022.

It was attended by students, parents, staff, the Chair of School Council Associate Professor Marinis Pirpiris as well as the School board and Greek Community members.

Many got emotional as the students moved through a diverse program that paid homage to their Greek heritage as well as First Nations peoples.

The Principal, Dr Vivianne Nikou, emphasised the importance of teaching our youth the skills they need to discover their callings and the perseverance it takes to chase them.

In her speech, she said: “My message is simple. Find your passion, find your voice, and open your heart and mind to endless possibilities when you least expect them.”
