Brisbane was draped in blue and white as tens of thousands attended Brisbane’s annual Greek Festival, Paniyiri.
The festival, organised by the Greek Orthodox Parish-Community of St George took place once again in South Brisbane’s Musgrave Park showcasing food, performances, dance and more.

Plateia-was the central focus of activity, in the centre of the park, where dance and musicians performed, a diversity of food and information stands from the various community organisations and individuals, sold a range of products and Greek delicacies sand promoted services .

It is estimated that over 50,000 people passed through the festival grounds over the weekend while other events also took place in Brisbane.

Of particular interest was the exhibition on the Asia Minor Catastrophe.
