The Australian Hellenic Memorial Melbourne presented awards to all winners of the Memorials School Competition for 2022 in a ceremony that took place on Sunday 6 November at the memorial.

Victoria saw 280 Students take part in the competition with 21 winners announced.

Parents, grandparents, teachers, and sponsors, attended the event and enjoyed a showcase of all the works.

Participating students had to tell a story which relates the ANZACs in the Greek Campaign, during the Second World War with a drawing or essay.

All winners will receive amounts from $50 to $250 as a prize along with a certificate of participation, and a memorial badge, which reflects the strong bond between Australia and Greece.

At the end of the ceremony, the President of the Australian Hellenic Memorial Melbourne, Mr Steve(Anastasios) Kyritsis OAM announced that the school competition will continue in 2023.
