The Lemnian Community of Victoria Ladies Committee hosted a spring carnival high tea celebration last week at Docklands.
The event which was sold out thanks to the tireless efforts and dedication from the committee to connect with the Lemnian Community.
“While volunteering strengthens our Lemnian community, it also fosters personal growth, teaches us valuable skills, and above all enhances our bond with the community,” Eleni Michailidis, the Lemnian Ladies President, said, welcoming the members who had dressed up for the special occasion.

The other passionate members of the committee who also attended were Sue Diamataris (Treasurer), Mircina Mayas (Secretary), Ann Bendouli (Social media Co-ordinator) and Penny Angelides, (Event Co-ordinator).
Special guest, Rochelle Gregory, of Lemnian heritage, founder and creative director of Rocky Rafaela, gave an inspiring presentation about her journey into the fashion world. She shared memories from her childhood, spending time with her grandfather, a tailor, and the challenges she faced along the way.

Her designs have been featured in music videos and worn as a trophy on Ruby Rose for Maybelline’s New York’s “No Maybe’s.”
TV personality, Anastasia Katselas, nominated for an AACTA award for the best reality show personality, also gave an impromptu presentation of her journey going through the selection process to be on Gogglebox.
Mary Calombaris, Rochelle Gregory, and Anastasia Katselas were on the panel of judges to award the best dressed on the day, which was sponsored by The Original Hamper Company.
