Members of AHEPA Victoria and esteemed guests gathered on Saturday, 19 November to celebrate its 80th anniversary at the Merrimu Receptions hall in Melbourne’s South East. The sold-out ball was attended by over 230 people mainly from the Greek Australian community in Victoria, with several guests visiting from across Australia.
AHEPA Victoria prepared a night of dance and delicious food with the sounds of the Southern Stars Big Band orchestra followed by a performance from Greek outfit UNICK.

President Pater Mercoulias kicked off the event with a heartfelt speech, that delved into the organisation’s philanthropic and educational contribution to Victorians throughout the years as well as future goals.
Consul General of Greece in Melbourne, Mr Emmanuel Kakavelakis attended with his family, alongside representatives from AEAMA, the Lemnian, the Lefkadian and the Ithacan clubs.
Members of Fronditha, Heliades, Estia and Food For Thought Network also honoured the event with their presence.
