The Pancretan Association of Melbourne held an election on Monday, 3 April to appoint its new Board of Management, announcing the second female president in the history of the association.

Newly elected president Aggie Mihelakis accepted the position with great enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility, taking on the challenge of helming the association moving forward.

“It is my honor and privilege as a member of this association to continue the values of respect, duty, loyalty and selfless service to this organisation in preserving our Cretan culture by providing an environment whereby our next generation will continue to thrive with the same passion of our fore founders,” Ms Mihelakis said.

As of Monday, the Pancretan Association of Melbourne’s Management Board consists of a total of fifteen members, including the president.

Mary Rissakis was elected Vice President, Dimitris Papadimitrakis is the new deputy Vice President, Petros Fragkiadakis is the Secretary, Joanna Psarakis the elected Assistant Secretary, John Karadakis was appointed Treasurer, Spiro Nikolakakis Assistant Treasurer, George Sevastakis Public Relations Officer and Paula Sagiadellis deputy Public Relations Officer.

Lastly, the Committee consists of members George Leondakis, Manolis Leondakis, John Kontekakis, John Dermitzakis, John Nikolakakis and Nicholas Ligidakis.
