The two Double-headed eagles of Hellenic football are preparing for another great battle, with both teams striving for victory in what serves as an early preview of the Greek Cup final next month.

AEK hosts PAOK at “Agia Sophia” Stadium on Monday morning (AEST) in the sixth round of the play-offs, with Enosi seeking their fifth straight win of a hugely successful campaign thus far.

The “yellow-blacks” are still locked in first with Panathinaikos, making it imperative they down the Thessaloniki side.

For PAOK, this contest is as an opportunity to build up their confidence and hold a psychological edge over their opponents ahead of the Cup Final, which is their last chance of winning silverware this term.

Panathinaikos travels away to face Volos and the “Trifylli” will be eager to ensure victory and potentially move into outright first, should AEK drop points.

The Greens have extra motivation coming into this game, having drawn disappointingly to the Magnesia outfit in the reverse fixture, a mistake they cannot afford to repeat.

Volos, meanwhile, will have to muster all their strength as they try desperately to bag a shock upset so as to keep in the hunt for fifth place, the last European qualifying spot.

Aris takes on Olympiacos at “Kleanthis Vikelidis” ground in a bid to further stretch their lead over Volos.

The Thessaloniki club currently sits four points ahead in fifth and a victory against the Piraeus giants would almost certainly assure them of the final European qualifying place.

The “red-whites” will be eager to get back to winning ways after suffering two straight losses at the hands of AEK and Panathinaikos, which has heavily reduced their chances of a fourth consecutive premiership.
