Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday addressed citizens of Naoussa, and said that the issue was one of “stability v. chaos” ahead of Sunday’s national elections. Mitsotakis emphasised that his proposal for governance offers stability, while the opposition’s alternative would result in an “absolute shambles.”

“The last thing we need is instability and experimentation,” Mitsotakis asserted, highlighting the importance of a stable government that can make decisions without being subject to internal party bargaining and blackmail.

Mitsotakis also noted that the upcoming elections are not only about the economy, primary sector, and healthcare but also about who will manage the country’s foreign policy and defense in critical circumstances.

Regarding issues specific to the Naoussa region, Mitsotakis highlighted the reopening of the Police School in Naoussa and his government’s support for wine production, wine tourism, and 12-month tourism development. The Prime Minister also visited a model vocational high school on his way to Naoussa.

In Mitsotakis’ view, the choice is clear: “The dilemma of stability or chaos is too strong and too convincing. We want a stable government.”
