WBC Heavyweight Champion boxer Tyson Fury has been enjoying his first visit to Australia. Fury, who was in town to watch his good friend Joseph Parker fight Faiga ‘Django’ Opelu, had a good time, one with some Greek flavour.

Arriving on Saturday, it was only a matter of hours before ‘The Gypsy King’ was out drinking, spotted at the CBD’s nightclub Bond Bar. Fury was welcomed by the club’s VIP host George Christoudias, and spent Sunday doing the same.

The 34-year-old also revealed he was visiting the country to scout for a potential fight.

“I’m very excited to be here in Melbourne,” Fury said.

“It’s my first time in Australia. I’m looking to do a fight here, so I’ll be going up and down the country looking at different stadiums over the next few days.

“I’m 100 per cent serious [about fighting in Australia].”

The boxer also took time to visit well known Greek venue, Vanilla Lounge in Oakleigh.

Vanilla took to Facebook and Instagram to share a photo of his presence.

Some of the community reaction to the boxer was quite humorous.

“So he’ll fight through a bougatsa but he still won’t fight Usyk,” someone joked on Instagram.

Another person asked on Facebook, “wtf is going on in Melbourne rn?”, another responded “he’s having a frappe re.”
