Celebrating a sold-out event, members and friends of the Deakin University Greek Society gathered at Melbourne’s Vogue Ballroom on Friday for their third annual gala ball.
Over 300 guests made the event a success with their lively conversations, laughs and dance with festivities lasting till late into the night.
Attendees were welcomed with a glass of champagne on arrival, followed by a three course meal and drinks, while Greek DJs, Kosta and Thomas Niko, Kix-Fm Dj K Artie K and musicians Tony Pitsikakis and Nick Sofos ensured that spirits were kept high throughout the night.
“DUGS is more than a society; it’s a family,” President Chris Giannaros said.”A family who cares about the continuation of promoting and celebrating our beautiful Hellenic culture and traditions.”
The success of the ball, now in its third year, would not have been possible without the generous support of sponsors, Mr Giannaros said, as well as the efforts of the executive and general committee members.
“A big thank you to everyone for attending and congratulations for keeping our Greekness alive!,” he said.
