The Murdoch family recently embarked on a luxurious European super-yacht vacation along the Amalfi Coast. While Lachlan and Sarah Murdoch’s new $150 million yacht, Sarissa made its virgin tour, aa legendary vessel that joined the festivities, the Christina O, stole the spotlight.
Named after the late Aristotle’s daughter Christina Onassis, the Christina O is one of the world’s most iconic super yachts.
The presence of the Christina O, with its storied past, added an extra layer to the glamourous event.
Chartering the Christina O for the occasion was none other than Rupert Murdoch, patriarch of the media magnate family.
The reunion took place just off Positano, at the popular Italian seafood restaurant “Da Adolfo.”
Lachlan and Sarah Murdoch, along with Lachlan’s sister Elisabeth Murdoch and her husband Keith Tyson, were spotted alongside Rupert Murdoch himself. Nearly 40 family members arrived at the quaint eatery aboard a fleet of tenders from the yachts.
While the youngest Murdoch daughters, Grace and Chloe both attended, James Murdoch was notably absent. His absence followed a Vanity Fair article that included allegations of Lachlan accusing James of leaking private family stories to the creators of the popular television series, Succession.
