AGAPI Care, is set to mark a significant milestone with the grand opening of its new Head Office, Academy, and Community Centre located at 4 Bruce Street in Preston. This event will coincide with the Annual Radiothon, an initiative that amplifies AGAPI Care’s commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities. It is worth mentioning that AGAPI Care’s Radiothon event held on Sunday 15 May 2022 raised over $133,240.
From 10am to midnight, the community is invited to join in the festivities and witness the unveiling of AGAPI Care’s state-of-the-art facilities while holding the Annual Radiothon, a platform through which AGAPI Care fosters community engagement and support.
AGAPI Care’s achievements were recently recognised when the organisation received the Enablement Award for 2023 in the category of The Most Innovative Community Service Provider in Australia. The accolade was presented based on client nominations and underscores AGAPI Care’s exceptional contributions to the community.
Mary Gakopoulos, Chief Executive Officer of AGAPI Care, expressed her pride in receiving the award.
“We are honoured to have received this recognition, as it reflects our dedication to innovative approaches and exceptional customer experiences,” she said.
“This award reaffirms our commitment to support and empower our valued clients.”

The day will be punctuated by the live broadcast of the annual radiothon on 3XY Radio Hellas, Gakopoulos explained, showcasing AGAPI Care’s dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
