Midfielder Paige Zois has re-signed with Melbourne Victory ahead of the 2023/24 A-League season.

Zois will play her third season for Victory women’s team after moving up from the club’s Elite Girls Program.

The 19-year-old made her debut at 16, in the AFC Women’s Club Championship, which was an obvious highlight of her young career, as she told Neos Kosmos two years ago.

She has made 18 appearances with Victory, having a role in the 2021/22 championship and representing Australia internationally.

Zois says she is excited to return to the squad, and looks forward for what’s to come.

“I’m thrilled to be extending my time at Melbourne Victory and I can’t wait to return to work with this group ahead of the upcoming season,” she said.

“This group means so much to me. They have been an important part of my development on and off the field and I want to achieve more goals with them this season.”

Director of Football at Melbourne Victory John Didulica said they are happy to have her sign on again.

“As another graduate of our Elite Girls Program, we’re thrilled to have a young prospect like Paige continue to be part of our system,” he said.

“Each season, Paige has made important steps in establishing herself in the squad and we cannot wait to see more from her this season.

Zois’ re-signing adds to a plethora of off-season happenings, with Kayla Morrison, Lia Privitelli, Alana Murphy and Ava Briedis all doing the same, while Rachel Lowe, Emma Checker and Jamilla Rankin all joined the club.
