As the FIBA Basketball World Cup approaches its end, Europe begins to prepare for their respective national basketball competitions in three years’ time, with the announcement of who will host the 2025 FIBA Women’s EuroBasket.
Greece, alongside Czech Republic, Germany and Italy will co-host the 40th edition of the Women’s EuroBasket tournament, which is one of Europe’s premier basketball events.
Each nation will host the group stage, with exact locations yet to be confirmed, while Greece will solely host the finals in Athens.
This will be the first time four countries host the one competition, with the most being two since 2015.
In another first, each host will be placed in the same group, while the remaining 32 nations will qualify starting in November.
The draw for the qualifiers will take place on September 19.
