The first-ever Annual School Dinner Dance, hosted by the Greek Community of Melbourne’s Language and Culture Schools, unfolded on Saturday, September 9, at the Stars International Reception Centre.

Marking a significant milestone, this inaugural event brought together students from various GCM school campuses, parents, and educators for an evening of cultural celebration.

The event surpassed all expectations in terms of participation and enthusiasm, solidifying its status as a highlight on the GCM school calendar.

Attendees were treated to a night filled with surprises, interactive games, music and dancing.

Distinguished guests included Executive Education Consultant, Dr Georgia Nikolaidou; Professor of Language and Literacy at Melbourne University and author of the influential report titled “Pharos,” which explores the revitalisation of the Greek language in Australia. Also present was Joseph Lo Bianco, a distinguished authority on language education and policy.
