The Glendi festival in Oakleigh is set to offer a weekend filled with the authentic flavours, aromas, and sounds of Greece.
Local Greek artists, musicians, and dancers are coming together to create a celebration of food, music, and fun.
On Saturday, November 4, and Sunday, November 5, Warrawee Park in Oakleigh will come alive with the sights and sounds of Glendi, celebrating a culture that knows how to savour life, family, and community.
This year’s event promises to be a fantastic celebration of Greek culture through music, performances, and delicious food.
Taking place from 12 noon on Saturday until 6 pm on Sunday, Warawee Park Oakleigh will be transformed into a Greek paradise.

Highlights of the event include performances by the Kinisi band and Maria Maroulis on the main stage, traditional dancing and music throughout both days.
An artisan market will allow visitors to purchase jewelry, crafts, clothing, and more, as well as enjoy Greek and Mediterranean cuisine and beverages, including a Hellenic spirits bar.

There will be amusements, rides, and activities for kids, as well as cooking demonstrations for all to enjoy.
For those with a sweet tooth, Honey Dee Loukoumades will be hosting an eating competition featuring their chocolate-coated loukoumades.
If you think you can consume as many of these delightful treats as possible, head to the main stage at 2.50pm on Saturday or 1.40pm on Sunday.

Attendees of the Glendi also have the chance to win two return tickets to Greece, with a raffle drawn on Sunday at 4pm; tickets cost $5 each.
Last year, the Victorian Labor government pledged $400,000 in funding over the next four years to support the Oakleigh Greek Glendi if re-elected.

Steve Dimopoulos MP made the announcement on his social media last November stating:
“Oakleigh Glendi. You know it. You love it. And so do we. Labor will back our Glendi with $400,000 in funding over the next 4 years.”
“Over 30,000 people from all over Melbourne turn out to enjoy this amazing festival (even in the rain!) – food, music, dance, rides and just such a vibrant, warm atmosphere.
“We’re proud of our diversity. Our multiculturalism. It’s why we’ve supported festivals across Victoria.”
