In a surprising turn of events at Stadium of Kaisariani, AEK found themselves settling for a 1-1 draw against Kifisia during the 10th round of the Super League.

The result sees AEK falling behind by four points from the top of the league, where Panathinaikos currently holds 25 points.

The match unfolded with AEK initially taking the lead due to an own goal by Morgan Schneiderlin in the 58th minute.

More specifically, Sidibe, after a pass from Pisaro, won the duels, took the shot, with the ball deflecting off Schneiderlin’s leg and ending up in the net.

In the 85th minute, Kifisia managed to level the score, capitalizing on their opponent’s numerous missed opportunities. Following a corner kick, the ball deflected, Sidibe failed to clear it, and amid a crowd in front of the goal, Nikos Vafeas, from a favorable position, pushed it into the net, making it 1-1.

This marked the third draw for the “yellow and blacks,” who have accumulated 21 points from their ten matches. For Kifisia, who now have 8 points from ten games, this was their fifth draw.

In the 89th minute, after an injury to Loic Landre, AEK seemingly found the net through Amrabat, but he was ruled offside by the assistant referee. The Union protested for a penalty on Livai Garcia earlier in the phase.

AEK pushed for a win and missed another significant opportunity when, in the 90th+2 minute, Kostas Galanopoulos fired a powerful shot, only to be thwarted by Anagnostopoulos.

With Andraz Sporar scoring in the 90th minute, Panathinaikos managed to “break” the resilient Lamia with a 2-1 victory at the Athanasios Diakos Stadium, marking the opening of the 10th round of the Super League.

In a moment when the “greens” were playing with ten men after Arao’s expulsion, the Slovenian striker became the “savior” with a header, while in the 9th minute of injury time, he missed a penalty kick, in the final phase of the match.

Mladenovic had impressively given the lead to Panathinaikos in the 31st minute, while Lamia equalized in the 64th minute with Karlitos.

Panathinaikos entered yet another match with high intensity, and within the first 40 seconds, Ioannidis showcased an impressive individual effort, a left-footed shot hitting the left post of Kosellef’s goal, followed by Mladenovic’s long-range shot going wide of the target.

Lamia responded with a significant opportunity of their own.

From a simple mistake by Vagiannidis, Karlitos “broke” the ball to Tsiloulis, who placed it on the right post of Brignoli’s goal. Later, the Italian goalkeeper of “trifilios” had a crucial save on Karlitos’ shot.

In the 7th minute of injury time, Panathinaikos launched a quick counter-attack, with Aitor passing to Palacios, who was brought down inside the box by Kosellef. Sporar took the penalty, but sent the ball over the crossbar in the 90’+8′, with Manouhos blowing the final whistle right after the game’s end, as Panathinaikos secured a crucial victory.
