Coach George Katsakis was full of praise for his boys after the game.

” Despite being one goal down, and at times, struggling in the second half, the boys dug deep and pulled off a remarkable victory.

The majority of this team has come straight from a long NPL season into this tournament and we commend the players for their dedication and commitment throughout. They love playing for the jumper and are very proud of their heritage.

We now look forward to the semis next weekend”.

Greek Community Vice President Michael Karamitos had this to say, following the victory:

“We at the Community are very excited as Greece has a realistic chance of winning the All Nations Cup for the second year in a row.

This will be a remarkable achievement by all involved. Congratulations to our 2 esteemed coaches, George Katsakis and Kon Tangalakis as well as our Team managers in both Kon Kyranakis and Tolis Marangoudis. We look forward to the semi finals next weekend and I encourage as many supporters as possible from our community to come and support our team”.

The semifinals will be held on Saturday, 18 November at Knox City FC.
