The Cannons flexed their muscles in a dazzling display on a glitzy night. Surrounded by their sponsors at a swanky Southbank event, the Oakleigh squad eagerly awaits the start of the new season in February.
Among the attendees were the team’s players, management, sponsors, and a select group of die-hard Cannons fans.
As we count down the days to the first game of the season, the Blue and White faithful were bursting with excitement, fully committed to claiming the ultimate prize.
According to the Cannons’ management, their near-miss for the title last season was simply a case of bad luck. With a top-notch squad, they’re considered strong contenders for the championship this time around.
Neos Kosmos caught up with Akis Ionas, to get the inside scoop on the glamorous evening.
“Everything was fantastic! I won’t bore you with the details, but I can confidently say that the 2024 season will go down as one of our most successful in terms of sponsorship. We are beyond fortunate to have such generous sponsors who fuel our drive for another shot at glory. Let’s unite and go for the top”
While the club has yet to make any signings, they did announce the extension of their partnership with acclaimed coach Chris Taylor.
The Cannons couldn’t be happier with Taylor, as he’s highly revered by everyone involved in running the club.
Stay tuned for upcoming announcements about new players who will help the team reclaim their dominance in the Victorian NPL.
