As the academic year drew to a close, the students of “AHEPA GREEK SCHOOL” gathered to celebrate with a Christmas party on Monday.
The event, held in a packed auditorium at Ivanhoe Girls Grammar, garnered applause from spectators, parents, grandparents, friends of the families, and supporters of AHEPA.
Mrs Tasia Manou, representing the School Committee, inaugurated the celebration, expressing gratitude for the profound work undertaken at the school and extending special thanks to the trusting parents. Mrs Stella Lambrou, the school Principal, highlighted this year’s achievements and underscored the crucial role played by all Greek schools in preserving the Greek language and culture.
She specifically acknowledged the outstanding contribution of “AHEPA GREEK SCHOOL” to the Greek Diaspora in Melbourne.

The students showcased a diverse repertoire which included the following performances:
- Pre-Primary & Toddlers: Song Presentation – “Summer is here again.”
- A’ & B’ classes: Presentation – “Dream in the snow” & Song – “Candies.”
- Grade 3: Sketch – “At the Restaurant.”
- 4th grade: Sketch – “Why I am Greek” & Zorbas dance.
- 5th Grade: Sketch – “At the camp” & Boys and Girls Scouts song.
- 6th & High School: Sketch – “I support Greece!”

The children infused their roles with enthusiasm and emotion, showcasing their talent and acting skills.
Special recognition was given to the dance teacher, Sotiris Sotiriou, and the children for their performances in 17 dance pieces, ranging from traditional to modern.
The celebration concluded with Christmas songs and the National Anthems.
