Neos Kosmos staff, journalists, contributors, designers, and administrators gathered to celebrate Christmas at an event in Middle Park, Melbourne, on Friday, December 22.

Publisher and GM Christopher Gogos thanked everyone for their “hard work and commitment” throughout the year.

He said that the English edition of Neos Kosmos continues to grow. At the same time, the Greek print and online publication still constitute the “largest Greek Australian media outlet in the nation.”

“We are part of the community we serve, and it is that which makes us important; we tell the stories of our community across generations in Greek and in English,” Gogos said.

Gogos said that in 2024, a new digital strategy would significantly enhance the masthead’s offering, especially among third-generation Greek Australians.

“Neos Kosmos is now 66 years old and has been a newspaper that talks for and of the community we serve,” Gogos added.

He thanked everyone again, wished the staff a “safe and happy Christmas”, and said that what makes Neos Kosmos relevant and vital is the masthead’s connection to “the people, the audiences we serve”.
