At Lexi School of Modern Greek our dynamic team of dedicated teachers are passionate about maintaining Greek language in our community.
Through an interactive thematic approach and modern teaching methodologies, we offer an engaging and stimulating classroom environment for kindergarten, primary and secondary students.
It’s imperative to our educators to connect with students, identify their individual learning needs and enable them to feel a sense of joy, confidence and achievement in the classroom.
We strive to instil in our students a genuine love and sense of pride for the Greek language and culture and to strengthen their connection with their heritage.
Inspired by our own children to create a stimulating learning environment for the introduction of Greek language classes, we established our unique pre-school Zouzounia Program in 2007 for children aged 1-4 years.
Classes run in Moonee Ponds, Richmond, Preston and Oakleigh.
Through stories, craft, games, song and dance, toddlers and pre-schoolers participate in fun educational activities together with their parents or grandparents, making new friendships while developing strong foundations for Greek language learning.
Our pre-schoolers continue their Greek language learning with a smooth transition into our kindergarten and foundation classes, remaining connected through primary and secondary school.
Over the years, the school community has grown closer and stronger.
Open communication between the principals, teachers and parents allows us to work together to support, engage and motivate our learners. It is wonderful to see the children participating in all aspects of the curriculum with such effort and enthusiasm.
Furthermore, it’s extremely rewarding to see our secondary students committed to continuing their Greek studies and expressing a renewed interest in VCE Greek.
We are looking forward to a fun and productive year ahead, starting with interactive cultural activities in Term 1.
