Turkish Airlines has put an end to months of speculation by confirming the official launch date for its new Melbourne service.
The airline will commence a thrice-weekly route via Singapore on 15 March, with plans to eventually organise direct flights to Melbourne and other cities in Australia in the coming years.
In celebration of the launch, Turkish Airlines is offering special fares of US$1,199 ($1,823.57 AUD) for bookings made by 15 April, applicable for travel between 15 March and 15 May.
The chairman of the board and the executive committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, expressed excitement about adding Melbourne as the airline’s 346th destination, stressing their commitment to strengthen their presence in Australia.
With the introduction of the new Melbourne service, Greeks planning to travel to Australia can anticipate reduced travel times and more affordable connecting flight options.
The direct link via Turkish Airlines not only opens up convenient travel routes but also fosters closer ties between Turkey and Greece, potentially enhancing tourism, trade, and business opportunities between the two nations.
