Bentleigh Greens and The Cannons had a friendly match full of memories at the Jack Edwards pitch, honoring the memory of Savva Koureas. The late 78-year-old, who was a passionate fan of Pancyprios and local football in general, unfortunately passed away last November.
Savvas Koureas, a founding member of Bentleigh Greens and former club president in the 1990s, left a lasting impact and was celebrated and cherished by both clubs and their fans.
The Oakleigh Cannons proved their readiness for the new season by winning the game with a score of 3-0.
The Port Melbourne Sharks, hosted Caroline Springs for a friendly match which resulted in a 1-1 draw.
In preparation for the upcoming season, Sharks coach, Nick Marinos tested out several new players and systems. However, the home side appeared slow and without fresh ideas on the field. Sydney Olympic signs Teng Kuol
Sydney Olympic, the Greek club based in the capital of New South Wales, Sydney, has made a major transfer announcement.
Olympic has signed Teng Kuol, brother of Garang Kuol, who has been playing on loan for the Dutch FC Volendam from the English team Newcastle, and Alou Kuol, who is a member of the Central Coast Mariners.
Last season, Kuol played in the NSW NPL with the Western Sydney Wanderers, and in October, he traveled to Sweden to participate in trial training sessions with the local team IFK Norrkoping.
