In the Strategic Plan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sets out the vision, strategic objectives, and operational initiatives for further strengthening the links of the Greek Diaspora with the metropolitan centre.
Through the consultation process, it seeks to co-design a comprehensive, coherent, and modern policy framework.
All citizens, institutional partners, Diaspora, and their organisations across the world are invited to participate in the consultation.

Comments and suggestions can be submitted either by filling in the relevant contact form or directly at strategic.diaspora@mfa.gr.
The consultation will run until 13 March 2024. The final text will be presented after the end of the consultation, after considering suggestions submitted.
Among other things, the draft bill provides for:
* Strengthening of relations with the Greek Diaspora; Effective, two-way communication with the Greek Diaspora.
* Strengthening of the Greek element around the world.
* Promoting, through our Diaspora, important issues of national interest.
* Support ad development of networks and structures of the Greek Diaspora with emphasis on new ways of organising it.
* Preserving the elements of Greekness by strengthening the Greek language, traditions, and culture with emphasis on the new generation.
* Utilising the presence of the homogeneous element to promote issues of Greek interest and their integration in the host societies/countries.
*Support and development of networks and structures of the homogeneity with emphasis on new ways of organising it.
* Preservation of the elements of Hellenism by strengthening the Greek language, traditions, and culture with emphasis on young people.
* Utilising the presence of the homogeneous element to promote issues of Greek interest and their integration in the host societies/countries.
