In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, the Archdiocesan District of Northcote recently organised an inspiring event tailored for the youth.

Hosted at the outdoor area of the Parish of the Transfiguration of Our Lord in Thomastown, the gathering drew over 200 enthusiastic young individuals.

The event began with a warm welcome from Bishop Evmenios of Kerasounta, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Northcote, who conveyed the heartfelt blessings of Archbishop Makarios of Australia.

Bishop Evmenios highlighted the pivotal role of the youth in shaping the future of the Archdiocese, encouraging them to actively participate in upcoming events, including the Apostolic Visit of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Australia in October.

A significant announcement was made regarding the forthcoming Archdiocesan District of Northcote’s Youth Conference, scheduled for September.

This three-day event, exclusively designed for young individuals, promises a diverse and engaging program, offering a platform for the youth to contribute meaningfully to the future of their local Church.
