An elderly Greek Australian woman has died in hospital after she was hit by a car in Oakleigh over the weekend.
According to Victoria Police, Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after the 73-year-old pedestrian was struck by a silver Toyota Prado on Hanover Street on Saturday May 4 at about 4.30pm.
The Wheelers Hill woman was taken to hospital but sadly died on Sunday May 5.
A 62-year-old Murrumbeena man, the driver of the Prado was uninjured and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Police are seeking witnesses to the incident, with CCTV/dashcam footage or information, and are urging them to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or their website.
