The final games of the Greek Super League and the Greek Soccer Cup Final will be broadcast live across Australia on Antenna Pacific.
The soccer season has entered its final week and within it, both the Greek Soccer Championship and the Greek Soccer Cup titles will be decided.
Both the derby between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos, alongside the AEK versus Lamia face-off, will air simultaneously on Antenna Pacific for the final Playoff matchday on Monday, May 20 at 3am with a replay at 8am (AEST).
After losing to Olympiacos, ΑΕΚ now faces an uncertain path to the championship. To secure the title, they must defeat Lamia. However, their fate also depends on PAOK’s performance against Aris at the “Kleanthis Vikelidis” stadium, where any dropped points could tilt the scales.
At the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” stadium, Panathinaikos and Olympiacos face off for the sixth time this season. This pivotal match will decide the last European qualification spot from the Greek Soccer Championship.
Currently, Olympiacos hold third position and will secure it if they avoid defeat against Panathinaikos. On the other hand, the ‘Greens’ need a victory to climb to the third position and secure a European ticket for the Conference League Qualifiers. However, the loser of the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” derby will still have another opportunity to secure a European berth for the next season.
If Panathinaikos wins the Greek Soccer Cup, they will compete in the Europa League Qualifiers. Meanwhile, if Olympiacos wins the Conference League against Fiorentina, they will enter the Europa League Group Stage next year.
The season’s ultimate title will be decided live on Sunday, May 26 at 3.30am (AEST), at the “Panthessaliko” stadium in Volos.
Panathinaikos and Aris will battle it out for glory.
Panathinaikos aims to salvage a mediocre season with a title, while Aris seeks to reclaim their former glory since their last cup victory in 1970.
Antenna Pacific is available in Australia via Foxtel or MySat.
