It has been a busy month for Aussie dance artist Vasiliki “VASSY” Karagiorgos.

Over the weekend the Greek Australian artist has dropped her new single ‘MIDNIGHT’ and also performed at the BASSINTHEGRASS festival in Darwin.

It is the largest and longest running music festival in NT and attracts thousands from around Australia.

This year saw Macklemore headline with the likes of Bag Raiders, Jet and of course VASSY feature.

The singer spoke about her new single in a statement sent to Neos Kosmos, where she said she was “excited” she got to work on it with UK producer duo Punctual (Calvin Harris, Becky Hill, Joel Corry) and Aussie hitmakers Uncanny Valley (Justin Shave and Charlton Hill).

Recently she was honoured by APRA AMCOS with the Billions List Award for her hit song Bad with David Guetta & Showtek for hitting the 2 billion stream milestone.

“I was so touched to be amongst my Aussie community in Sydney who have been so supportive.”

She recently spoke to Neos Kosmos about the recognition and said she wishes her dad was still around to see and say ‘Μπράβο σου (Bravo to you)’.

VASSY was also recently approached by the Recording Academy to be featured as part of their Global Spin Grammy campaign, where she gets to represent Australia.

“It may not be a Grammy…. But… it was so much fun.”
