Visiting Greece? A photography exhibition by Robert McCabe titled “Χαίρε Ξένε. In the Land of Dreams”, a retrospective of McCabe’s “Greek era” will run from May 28 to September 8, 2024, in the Temporary Exhibition Gallery on the ground floor of the Acropolis Museum.

The exhibition features around 100 photographs that capture Greece’s timeless beauty and resilience and is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, the Greek National Tourism Organisation, and the Acropolis Museum.

McCabe’s lens reveals a country marked by toil and limited means, yet brimming with hope and potential for a brighter future.

The selected photographs emphasise the importance of preserving Greece’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, showcasing the elements that make Greece a unique and vibrant place with a rich past, present, and future.

Admission to “Χαίρε Ξένε. In the Land of Dreams” is free.

Visitors can obtain a free admission ticket from the Museum Ticket Desk.

A bilingual publication (Greek-English) related to the exhibition will soon be available in the Museum Shops.
