In a significant development, the Right Reverend Bishop of Meloa, Emilianos, has resigned from his position within the Holy Archdiocese of Australia.

The resignation, which was announced by the Archdiocese, was submitted for undisclosed reasons.

On Monday, the serving Bishops of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia convened under the leadership of Archbishop Makarios.

During this meeting, Bishop Emilianos of Meloa voluntarily tendered his resignation, which was accepted by Archbishop Makarios and the attending Bishops.

Archbishop Makarios expressed his gratitude on behalf of the local Church, thanking Bishop Emilianos for his contributions to the Holy Archdiocese of Australia.

He extended his best wishes to Bishop Emilianos for his future endeavours in the spirit of “love and brotherhood”.
