The Australian company UES Marine, a leader in ship furnishings, has announced a new collaboration with Attica Group, Greece’s top ferry operator.

From June 3 to June 7, 2024, UES Marine participated in Posidonia 2024, presenting the latest innovations in ferry seating. Now manufacturing its products in Italy for faster service and quicker delivery to European customers, UES Marine discussed trends in seat design, focusing on improving and enhancing the passenger experience in Greek maritime travel.

The new partnership focuses on implementing Lux Form Journey seats, specifically designed to meet the unique needs of Attica Group, on the Blue Star 2 ferry.

The Lux Form Journey seats feature custom-made dimensions and an ergonomic design to ensure maximum passenger comfort.

For the first time, these seats include an integrated cup holder in the armrest that unfolds into an individual table.

Additionally, the seats come equipped with USB Type A and C ports and an individual reading light on the headrest.

The seat fabrics, sourced from New Zealand, are now exclusively used by Attica, offering high quality and enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers.

Throughout the design and customisation process, UES Marine and Attica Group worked closely together.

UES Marine reportedly met the stringent requirements and specifications set by Attica Group.

“We are thrilled about our collaboration with Attica Group and the opportunity to introduce a different type of seat to the Greek market through Blue Star 2,” Ioanna Kouvatsou, UES Marine’s representative in Greece said.

“It is a great honor for UES Marine, as Attica Group is an iconic company in Greek shipping. We believe that together we set a high standard for passenger service in Greek maritime travel, and we look forward to future steps that will allow us to leverage the innovative capabilities of both companies. It is an honor to be called partners of Attica.”

Nikolaos Triantafyllidis, representative of Attica Group, added that “we (Attica Group) are committed to providing the best services to our passengers, aiming to offer an unparalleled travel experience on our ships. We set high-quality standards by applying strict criteria at all levels. When it came time to renew an entire section of airline seats on our Blue Star 2 ferry, we were very pleased to collaborate with UES Marine. Their team helped us design and implement the optimal seat according to our initial ergonomic and aesthetic criteria. We are delighted with this first collaboration, which we believe lays the foundation for extensive future cooperation.”
