The so-called “Archbishop of Australia and New Zealand” Nektarios has stirred further controversy with a new social media post, this time as audio and a press release about what happened at the Greek Community of St Albans and the church of Aghia Paraskevi.
Part of the new video he uploaded on the internet, he “dedicates” it to Neos Kosmos.
Specifically, he answers a question from our newspaper whether he is really the one he presents himself as.
He presented on screen documents and certificates, according to which his name is indeed Nikolaos Alexandratos, as well as a sworn statement by another citizen that “puts things in their place”.
He also denied in the strongest possible terms that he was married.
“They waited three years to say I was married?” he asked, adding that “everything is a lie.”
At this point he made new personal attacks on the president of the Community Ms Akamatis and the secretary Mr Zafiris.
He also presented a letter he had sent to the Board informing it that he was going abroad.
Sources have told Neos Kosmos that members of the Community of St Albans, are actively seeking the removal of the current Board of Directors.
According to complaints made to our newspaper, there was also a problem with a sacrament that took place in the same church, and there are also complaints of icons being “lost”.
Nektarios also defended Archbishop Makarios of Australia, claiming that he said one thing in a letter to the Board and that the Board conveyed a different message to the members.
“Wait and see what’s in store for you,” he said to Board members.
