Brisbane is preparing to celebrate the Greek heroism of the historic Battle of 42nd Street at the Greek Club next Saturday.

The free event is collaboratively hosted by the Cultural Committee of the Greek Orthodox Community of St George Brisbane, AHEPA Queensland, the Cretan Association of Queensland, and the Hellenic RSL Sub-Branch.

The highlight of the event will be a presentation on the final battle of Crete before the German occupation and the enduring connections between Crete and Australia.
