On the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, the Greek Orthodox Community of South Australia (GOCSA) reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Cypriot people.
GOCSA, as the largest ethnospecific organisation in South Australia, has long been a staunch advocate for justice alongside Justice for Cyprus South Australia (SEKA) and the Cyprus Community of South Australia (CCSA).
“We support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus, a member of the United Nations and the European Union,” stated GOCSA, emphasising the need for immediate action to restore fundamental freedoms and reunite families separated by the conflict.
Fifty years on, GOCSA pledges to continue raising awareness and advocating for a just resolution to end the Turkish occupation in Cyprus, standing with the Cyprus Community of South Australia and all Cypriot communities nationwide.
