The National and State Indoor Championships for archery was held on July 6-7 with state events all around Australia on the same weekend.
Archers of all ages gathered at their respective state venues, including many Greeks.
One of the best performing Greek Australians was Girogio Vasiliades from Sydney Olympic Park Archers.
He is currently the U18 national youth record holder and has won multiple youth state and national medals.
This year the 19-year-old ranked second nationally and first for NSW in U21 Male Recursive.

Shooting out of Northern Archers of Sydney, he was the highest scoring male for recursive of all age groups.
And in the Open Male Barebow Compound competition, George Proios from Eden Field Archers in South Australia ranked second nationally and first for state.
There a plenty of Greeks making a name for themselves in archery, with most notable being Peter Boukouvalas from Sydney, who will be representing Australia in the Paris Olympic Games.
