State League 1 – North West Group

Oh, if only we possessed a multitude of eyes to fully absorb the mesmerising ball action and spectacular goals on display! Last weekend, Clifton Hill and Western Suburbs treated us to a glorious 90 minutes of pure football frenzy. And boy, did Western Suburbs show off their skills, scoring an impressive 5 goals to triumph over Clifton Hill’s 4 at their home turf. As for this week’s matches, Suburbs will face off against Upfield while Clifton Hill takes on Westgate. Prepare for some more heart-pumping action.

The Greek Australians of Yarraville struck again, triumphing over Upfield with a 0-1 victory in their away game. As they ready themselves to take on the second-place Brimbank Stallions at home, their historic club shows no signs of slowing down.

State League 1 – Southeast Group

South Springvale Aris proved they still got it with a sweet consecutive win. The “yellow and black” squad snatched a solid 3-1 win against the Casey Comets, securing their spot at fourth place, just 11 points behind front runner Eltham Redbacks. Next up for Aris? A road trip to take on Mazenod. Let’s see if they can keep up their winning streak on the go.

Malvern city is on fire! The Greek Australian squad is slaying with a magnificent five-game winning streak. Last game, they served Old Scotch a 2-0 defeat like it was a warm souvlaki. Now they brace themselves for a clash with the infamous Mornington, but with home-field advantage, they’re ready to give them a Greek tragedy to remember.

State League 2 – North West Group

Looks like Westvale Olympic served up a big win against Altona East Phoenix P.A.O.K. in their blue and white brawl. They owned the game from start to finish, leaving the field with a 2-0 victory. Next up, Olympic tackles the boss battle against Keilor Park, while P.A.O.K prepares to play hosts to the bottom-of-the-barrel Geelong Rangers.

The “Pigeons” spread their wings and soared to victory at Lalor United’s ground last weekend, leaving with an impressive 3-4 score. Watch out, Uni Hill Eagles, Mill Park’s Greek-Australian team is flying your way next!

State League 2 – Southeast Group

The Bayside Argonauts are crushing it on the field. They’re sitting pretty in first place, making other teams green with envy. In their last match, they took down Skye United 3-2. Next up, they’ll be facing off against Doncaster Rovers, who are barely clinging onto 11th place.

The Bentleigh United Cobras proved to be the real charmers last weekend when they clawed their way to victory against Berwick City with a score of 2-1. And this week, they’ll be taking on the second-placed Hampton East Brighton right in their own backyard.

Looks like Chisholm United just couldn’t keep up with Peninsula Strikers. Despite fighting with more heart than a lion, they still fell short at their home turf with a 2-4 score. And coming up next, they’ll have to take on Knox City.

State League 4 – Eastern Group

Wanderers bravely battled it out against Riversdale, returning home with one point in their pocket. A.E.K made a valiant attempt at domination, but the scoreboard laughed with a cheeky 1-1 tie. Onward and upward, Wanderers now face off against Manningham Juventus on foreign turf.

State League 4 – Northern Group

Darebin United reigned supreme with a resounding 3-0 win over West Preston, clinching the derby with style. The team’s laser-focused performance earned them a well-deserved three points. Next up, Darebin United will welcome the Plenty Valley Lions, while West Preston will have to face off against Moreland United.

State League 5 – Eastern Group

East Kew’s Olympiacos was no match for Old St Kevins, suffering a 0-1 defeat on their home turf. But, the “red and whites” are determined to bounce back against Old Melbournians in their next match.

State League 5 – Northern Group

News of the great A.E.K from Keon Park terrorising the Mitchell Rangers with a 1-9 win has left both “enemies” and fans of the Greek Australian team at a loss for words. Will their “yellow and black” squad continue their dominance against Roxburgh Park at their turf this week? Only time will tell.
