July 21, 2024 at approximately 1.30pm at Federation Square in Melbourne. The crowd was gathering. A cool winters day and fortunately the rain held off, unfortunately so did the sun.

I was impressed with the event of the 50th anniversary of the illegal Turkish invasion.

We are a lucky country in Australia, the freedom of speech, the life we live – a envy by many other nations. However this is deteriorating.

On July 20, the occupied part of Cyprus not recognised by the United Nations had a rally in Melbourne.

Azerbaijani flags, one of the most oppressive regimes known in today’s world and a nation that ethnically cleansed the Armenians from Nagorno Karabkh, were present.

There was a standout flag from a country under the naming conventions by the United Nations resolutions of the Prespes agreement as North Macedonia.

The president Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova or a representative of her government has not condemned this.

The President and her representatives seem to forget that human rights are for all, not a pick and choose which suits to express self-centred opinion for themselves.

The same goes for local, state and federal politicians the freedom of speech and human rights are for all.

Andrew Giles, the federal immigration minister and Bronwyn Halfpenny, Victorian state member and a representative for Premier Jacinta Allan, attended a cultural centre event which had federal and state funds provided.

The cultural centre in Epping, Melbourne had maps of a country that does not exist, never existed and comprises territories of four other nations.

Incorrect nomenclature and abuse of intellectual property and misappropriation of cultural identity.

I welcome the state and federal governments in providing funds to cultural centres, however these funds should have been provided to organisations that do not participate in such hateful activities/behaviour.

There are many organisations looking for funds to help people in need of assistance in having a roof over their head, people who are struggling to feed their families and or medical assistance amongst many other community needs.

Let’s not forget the homeless hundreds of thousands?

It seems some bureaucrats from DFAT, some federal, local and state government ministers do not wish to abide by what the Australian Federal Police and ATO guidelines are set at for our citizens.

No point telling the world how bad and difficult piracy, fraud, hate speech etc is when there is a direct contribution by constituents’ members.

My curiosity is – are the rest of the Australian politicians in line with UN resolutions? Hate speech? Piracy? Fraud? Other countries sovereignty especially your allies/friends?

The owners of intellectual property pay government agencies to register. However governments turn a blind and recommend/advise you to go to court.

What they forget is when receiving a GST component from the sale of goods from the seller and/or retailer, the government is directly complicit. Australia is a signatory to WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organisation) from 1972. All Australian politicians/ bureaucrats must respect treaties and abide them, not just “encourage” just as they would like their citizens to abide.

If the owner of the intellectual property went to court the compensation would be massive especially when you are aware of the breach.

Time for respect to all, not this ignorance and arrogance being displayed.

We are all supposed to live together in harmony and make our country better place to live, not continue division within our communities.
