Focused on bringing the latest films of Greek-produced and/or Greek-themed Indie cinema to the Australian public, the 29th Greek Film Festival of Sydney partner with one of the most well-known Greek spirits and an original Greek product making its own history since 1888, Metaxa.
President of the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, organisers of the festival, Harry Danalis welcomed the 136-year-old company.
“We welcome Metaxa as our presenting p artner for 2024 and we are confident that their presence will enhance the experience of attending the 29th Greek Film Festival of Sydney,” he said in a media release.
Festival Chair Nia Karteris added that “it’s always refreshing to partner with passionate people who understand and embrace the uniqueness of the Greek identity while supporting a great annual event such as the 29th Greek Film Festival in Sydney.”
“We want to thank Metaxa for their partnership this year and we hope that our collaboration will mark the start of a successful partnership for the years to come.”
The 2024 Greek Film Festival of Sydney will take place in October at Palace North Street, Leichhardt. Official dates, line-up and additional locations will be announced soon.
