State League 1 – North West Group

The Western Suburbs completely thrashed Westgate, leaving their Greek Australian team in a triumphant state with a 4-1 win. This weekend, Strathmore will have the pleasure of experiencing the hospitality of the victorious Suburbs on their home turf.

Despite putting on a spectacular show on the Strathmore field, the mighty Yarraville only walked away with a measly point. With six goals and thrilling moments galore, the match was definitely a must-see for football fans. But alas, the final score of 3-3 left the Yarraville players feeling like they had bitten into a disappointing lemon. As if things couldn’t get any tougher, their next challenger is none other than the second ranked Geelong.

Clifton Hill managed to snag a single point in their epic match against powerhouse team Whittlesea United, ending in a 0-0 draw. But this weekend, the Hillers are ready to show Upfield who’s boss on their home turf.

These Greek-Australian squads better bust out their Herculean efforts if they want to avoid demotion. Their upcoming games will determine whether they stay in the top league or get tossed onto the Medusa-filled second division.

State League 1 – Southeast Grou

Looks like Aris made a giant leap in the wrong direction after their match against Brandon Park. Despite their valiant efforts, the “yellow and black” squad couldn’t break through the fortress of the home team’s defense. But don’t worry, this week’s game against top-ranked Eltham Redbacks will definitely be one to remember at South Springvale.

In a battle on the pitch against the Casey Comets, the esteemed Malvern City claimed three points and bragging rights. The “Blues” dazzled with their stunning football skills, providing an exquisite afternoon for the game’s audience. The final score was 1-3. Next on their hitlist, City is set to dominate Gippsland United, who are chilling in second-to-last place in the standings.

State League 2 – North West Group

Westvale triumphed in the “Hellenic” showdown against Mill Park with a final score of 1-0. This week, Westvale will hit the road to face off against Uni Hill, while Mill Park will play host to Hoppers Crossing.

PAOK from Altona East, suffered a crushing 3-1 defeat at the hands of the mighty Craigieburn City. It was time to regroup for the black and white squad as they prepared to take on the Whittlesea Ranges. Could their luck turn around?

The “cobras” gave the Peninsula Strikers a venomous 1-1 tie in their last match.

State League 4 – Eastern Group

The Waverley Wanderers A.E.K. team is on fire! They vanquished Ringwood City with a flawless 6-0 score and have gracefully climbed to third place on the standings, only ten points away from first. Looks like Monash City Villareal is the next victim in line for their home game this week.

State League 4 – Northern Group

Darebin United suffered a 1-2 home defeat at the hands of Greenvale United. This week, Apollo will face off against Fawkner at their home ground.

The West Preston gang showing Melbourne Uni who’s boss with a solid 2-0 victory. The next victim on their hit list? The Moonee Valley Knights.
