Two young Australian men have died overseas on holiday in Vietnam, one of them Greek Australian Andrew Colivas.

Colivas, 25 and Vincent Atulia, 24 have had two fundraisers set up to bring their bodies back to Australia.

It is not known how the two men died and according to authorities they had a troubled history with the law.

In a GoFundMe set up for Colivas by family member Nick, nearly $40,000 has been raised for the “long process to bring him home”.

“It is with great sadness that we share the message of the untimely passing of our beloved son and friend Andrew Colivas. He tragically lost his life in Vietnam and It’s going to be a long process to bring him home,” the statement on the fundraiser page said.

“Andrew was only 25 and had a passion for boxing. He was a kind, generous and selfless person that loved his family, friends and all things he attempted in life.

“Andrew was one to go above and beyond to help and protect anyone. He was dedicated member of Saint Gregorios Orthodox Church and was devoted to his faith. We pray for strength during this time of grieving, may God bring you back home safely to us.”

According to the Herald Sun, the Department of Foreign Affairs was providing consular assistance to the family of one of the men who died and to three other Australians.
