Westvale Olympic is celebrating its revival preparing to play State 1 football for the first time since 2005.

It’s a success story that could rival a Hollywood movie plot, supporters say, with the club giving credit to current president George Loulakis for bringing the team back to the good old days of their ’90s glory, and head coach Bill Georgopoulos “for his tireless work throughout these last three seasons.”

Announcing the news in a social media post, the club thanked both for “saving the club from folding” and managing in a short time since midway 2021 to lead the team to the top division of state leagues.

Despite minimal resources, and a young squad developed during the past three seasons, Westvale Olympic has shown that with hard work, determination, and expert strategising, anything is possible.

“Like Bill says, “money can’t buy this, culture is key”,” the club wrote on socials inviting fans to join the promotion celebrations next Saturday 7 September at their final home game.

So, make sure to get your tickets and witness the final match of the season. Trust us, you don’t want to miss out on the festivities and the chance to bask in the glory of Westvale Olympic’s promotion.

Congratulations once again, you’ve made our community proud.
