Renowned Greek actor Danis Katranidis passed away on Sunday at the age of 75. Born on August 4, 1949, in Egaleo, Katranidis graduated from the Drama School of Athens ‘Giorgos Theodosiadis’ in 1971.

He was a versatile performer, gracing the stage of the National Theatre from 1971 to 1978.

His career spanned a wide range of theatrical genres, including tragedy, comedy, musicals, and revues. Katranidis was also a prominent figure in radio theatre and a dedicated educator, teaching at the Higher Drama School ‘Iasmos’ and the Theater Workshop ‘Vassilis Diamantopoulos’.
