The winners of the 2024 Annual School Competition will be announced by the Australian Hellenic Memorial Foundation on Sunday, October 27.
The event will be held at the Australian Hellenic Memorial in the Domain Gardens, Birdwood Avenue near the corner of Government House Drive at 12.30pm.
The competition encourages students to learn about the important contributions of Australia and Greece during World War II and World War I.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the competition, which is open to students from Years 1 to 12.
Winners will receive financial prizes for First, Second, Third places, along with Encouragement Awards. The awards will be presented based on the following school year levels 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 respectively.
In addition, all student entries will receive a Certificate of Participation and a special badge celebrating the bonds between Australia and Greece.
