Well-known member of Melbourne’s Greek community, lawyer and Neos Kosmos contributor, Dean Kalimniou, is set to have his book ‘Εικονοκλάσματα’ (Ikonoklasmata) be the subject of an upcoming presentation by Dr George Vasilakopoulos.
The presentation is being organised by the Greek-Australian Cultural League, the Hellenic Writers’ Association of Australia and the Greek Community of Melbourne, with it to be held at the Greek Centre this Sunday (3 November) at 3pm.
The book, which was released last year, is a collection of short stories that attempts to negotiate issues of identity and marginalization within a framework of timeless Greek centrifugal places.
Dr Vasilakopoulos, from the Department of Philosophy of LaTrobe University, will delve into the book at the upcoming event as he offers his perspectives on Kalimniou’s latest work.
