Both PAOK and Panathinaikos fell victim to late equalisers as they were forced to settle for disappointing draws with Kallithea and Atromitos respectively, with Olympiacos stretching their lead in first after defeating OFI.

The Thessaloniki giants were held to a 2-2 stalemate with last-placed Kallithea at “Toumba” Stadium on Monday morning (AEDT) in the Greek Super League’s 13th round, continuing their horrid form at their home ground where they have not won since August.

The hosts went in front 21 minutes in through young playmaker Giannis Konstantelias, who guided in the rebound following a save by goalkeeper Bernabe Barragan.

The Athenian club managed to equalise in the 59th minute after veteran playmaker Mathieu Valbuena’s strike was finished off by striker Giannis Loukinas.

Winger Kiril Despodov scored a free kick goal in the 82nd minute to put PAOK ahead once more, though the travellers were able to draw level again through Nicolas Isimat-Mirin in injury time header (90+2′).

The result extends PAOK’s terrible streak at home to seven games winless in all competitions, a shockingly poor record which they will have to address immediately if they wish to pose a serious challenge for the championship.

Olympiacos consolidated their position as league leaders with a 0-2 away triumph over OFI, securing their fourth straight league success as they continue to press their case as strong premiership contenders.

The Piraeus outfit broke through the Cretans’ defence on the hour mark after defender Giulian Biancone tapped home the rebound following goalkeeper Daniel Naumov’s initial save of striker Ayoub El Kaabi’s corner header.

The “red-whites” then guaranteed the points in the 88th minute when El Kaabi found teammate Chiquinho with a pass across goal, who then hit the ball into an empty net.

The victory ensured Olympiacos of first place at the halfway point of the regular season, an important milestone as they push for the first title since the 2021/22 season.

Panathinaikos was kept to a 1-1 draw against Atromitos 1-0 at the Olympic Stadium, an unfortunate outcome that sees them fall four points behind Olympiacos.

The Greens took the lead in the 16th minute with midfielder Nemanja Maksimovic scoring an easy header from close range after an initial save from goalkeeper Lefteris Choutesiotis (16′).

The Peristeriotes managed to cancel it out in the 90th minute when midfielder Athanasios Karamanis drilled the ball from the edge of the box into the back of the net.

Panserraikos have strengthened their push towards the middle of the ladder after downing Asteras Tripolis 2-1 at home.

The Serres club pulled ahead in the 15th minute via striker Jefte Betancor’s spot-kick, with the Arcadians cancelling it through forward Federico Macheda’s headed effort following a corner (34′).

The hosts managed to restore their lead in the 82nd minute, thanks to a header from midfielder Mohamed Fares, helping them win the game and go level with their opponents on 16 points as a result.

AEK thumped Aris 4-0 at “Agia Sophia” Stadium in a huge statement win on Sunday morning to showcase their championship credentials.

Enosi opened the scoring in the 17th minute following a well-guided header into the bottom right by centre half Harold Moukoudi, with winger Anthony Martial making it two from the penalty spot on the stroke of half time (45′).

Chief marksman Levi Garcia bagged AEK’s third goal of the contest in the 58th minute before his replacement, Frantzdy Pierrot, put the game to bed with a strong finish from range into the bottom left (89′).

The result ensured AEK remained close to the top of the table and extended Aris’ woes by handing their third straight league defeat (a run of form that has seen them fall behind in the title race).

Levadiakos played out a 1-1 home draw with Panetolikos in a tense affair that ended with ten players on the field for each side.

The “blue-greens” struck first via striker Zini, who gave his club the lead with a finish in the 19th minute.

The Canaries suffered a further disadvantage in the 68th minute when midfielder Miguel Luis was sent off for a second yellow card, though they managed to get level after forward Andrija Majdevac converted his penalty (85′).

Levadiakos then went a man down themselves two minutes after conceding, with centre back Rodrigo Erramuspe receiving a second yellow in what proved to be the final decisive moment of the clash.

Lamia’s woes continued as they settled for a 0-0 away draw against Volos, extending their winless run in the league to 12 games in the process.
