This year St John’s College recorded some of the most positive VCE results in the history of the school.
All the students who took part in VCE received their completion and results, which were highlighted by 2024 Dux Pantelis Stefanidis, who achieved an ATAR of 89.95 and Dux Proximus, Angelique Fardis, ATAR of 81.65.
College Principal Andrew Ponsford congratulated the Class of 2024 on their success in the VCE program.
“We were delighted with the overall academic efforts and performance of the Class of 2024,” he said in a press release.
“These positive academic results were achieved by students who participated fully in the co-curricular life of the College and regularly contributed to wider community activities.
“They also demonstrated impressive leadership qualities in their final years as our senior students.”
He said the results were possible because of a combination of positive culture, parents, staff and schoolwide initiatives to improve teaching and learning.
“Our students come to us with their own gifts, skills and abilities and we encourage all to attempt Year 12.”
“The emphasis in the VCE in 2024 has been on achieving personal best and we are delighted that our VCE results reflect this, as we wish the class of 2024 all the very best with their future endeavours.”
On December 2 the school held an awards ceremony where the students are said to have conducted themselves to a high standard.
“We are forever grateful for their contributions. The wider world will be a better place for their participation and involvement.”
